Nano is also integrated with fitness features, a pedometer and Nike+.

The size zero iPod nano–some are saying the new nano looks suspiciously like the Nokia Lumia 2011 model–is paper thin at 5mm and almost half the size of predecessor.

But also has longer battery life of 30 hours. Not bad.

But Apple design team has given nano a new larger “home” button, to help control volume play, pause or change songs “without looking” and rejiged the home screen. The wallpaper on the screen also matches the body’s cute colours.

Apple has also redesigned iTunes, added a new player, iCloud integration and a new look for music, apps, TV and movie stores.

They also ditched their earphones and EarPods, which it says is a “breakthrough design” for a more “natural fit.”

“More beautiful, more portable, feature rich” than ever before Schiller declared, adding it is “by far the best nano we’ve created.”

New iPod touch

Like the new iPhone 5, the 5MP camera on touch has the panorama feature that lets you capture wide photos by moving the camera across a scene.

Both iPod touch and nano come with the new Lightning connector, but worry not existing iPod owners as a Lightning-to-30-pin Adapter is available to hook up older Apple accessories.
