SYDNEY – Low-cost SIM card flogger Amaysim made a reasonable debut on the ASX yesterday. Its shares opened at $1.75 and closed at $1.90, compared with the $1.80 investors paid for the shares in the recent initial public offering, which raised $207 million.Some 7.76 million shares changed hands on the day.
The stockmarket price gives Amaysim a market capitalisation of more than $330
The company, a SIM-card-only business, hitches a ride on Optus’s mobile
network. It currently has an estimated 718,000 subscribers and is aiming at one
million by 2019.
