Uniden are promoting their narrowband range of UHF radios with revered NRL player Darren Lockyer, hoping to encourage UHF radio users to upgrade to the new narrowband network.

The Australian Communication and Media Authority (ACMA) launched the new narrowband network in late May.

“Uniden 77-Channel radio users can now take advantage of less network congestion, allowing for faster and easier selection of a clear channel” said Uniden’s Senior Marketing Executive Brad Hales.

In celebration of Australia’s new narrowband UHF-CB network, Uniden are throwing a big giveaway promotion. The lucky first prize winner will get to have a lunch for two with Queensland Origin Captain Darren Lockyer, an autographed jersey and a $2,000 Uniden Prize Pack.

Fifty second-place prize packs are up for grabs with winners scoring a Uniden UH076SX-NB 5 Watt Handheld Radio valued at $299.95, and third prize winners well win Uniden’s Ultra-Pocket sized radio (UH037SX-2NB, RRP$69.95) with a hundred of them to be won.

To be in the draw, simply purchases a Uniden 77 Channel UHF radio between July 15th and October 15th.
