And Stephen Spielberg wannabees rejoice – the nifty YouTube upload tool allows users to transfer directly to the broadcasting site. 

The Japanese maker ushers in its latest HD-ready camcorder, the Camileo S30, which provides a range of new functions on its 3″ swivel touchscreen which gives both high def prints and camera functionality.  

The pistol-grip device gives high quality video as well as share content with a direct upload function to video sharing sites like  YouTube and Flickr could prove a huge hit with the amateur film maker.     

The latest addition to the Camileo family is light weight device is an ideal bag mate and about the size of a Smartphone with its sleek body design, says Toshiba. 

“Consumers today enjoy watching videos as well as sharing them and the Camileo S30 has been specifically designed to help them capture all their memories with the greatest flexibility,”  says Robert Wilkinson, GM of Toshiba Information Systems Division (ISD).       

Users can also view their video and still photos directly on their computer or TV using the HDMI cable provided.

Major specs include 1080p Full HD resolution, 720p and 480p modes for action shots, 16X zoom lens, and is powered by a Li-Ion battery rechargeable battery. 

 

The camera accommodates SDHC and SDXC memory cards with up to 64GB capacity and will record 10 hours at 1080p, Toshiba claims.        

And at a very attractive $299 price tag a part in the small screen can be anybody’s.
