0Overall Score

HTC has revealed sales figures for the first half of 2010 showing record sales for the most recent three months.

The Taiwanese smart phone maker’s revenues were up 66 per cent year on year, to 23.8 billion New Taiwanese dollars, while the 2010 second quarter showed a 58 per cent year on year growth with revenues reaching 60.5 billion New Taiwanese dollars.
The growth reflects HTC’s success in the Google Android market with its smart phones, which can download music, play video and surf the internet, and which rival the iOS operating system used in Apple’s iPhones. HTC also manufactures Google’s Nexus One phone.
A statement released by the company said: “HTCs second quarter earnings result is better than its original second quarter guidance. Both June and second quarter revenue continuously hit record highs, showing good execution of brand strategy and grow scale strategy.”
