That’s according to Korea’s based Maeil Business Newspaper who’s “sources” say 4.6″ iPhone “5” is a-coming in Q2 (April-June), reports Reuters.

This means a full 1.1 inches bigger than current iPhone 4 and 4S versions and also that the Apple will go head-to- head with Samsung’s Galaxy S 3 rumoured to sport bigger 4.7″ OLED screen with 1280×720 resolution.

New iPad released in Oz last Friday boasts a super bright Retina screen (2,048 X 1,536 res, four times faster than iPad 2) and having seen the Apple first hand this week, we can vouch for the blow away 9.7″ clear screen.

However, no word on what the exact res for new iPhone 5 (if it’seven called that) will be.

And like the new iPad, iPhone is also said to be 4G ready, if rumours are to be believed.

Since it was a Korean media outlet has got wind of the iPhone specs could indicate Korean makers Samsung are behind the new display, who already produced the Retina screen for new iPad, as revealed last week.

However, not everyone is convinced of the 4.6″ iPhone screen, with other sources earlier this year saying a 4″ display was on the cards, with production rumoured to kick off already in Foxxconn factories.
