Apples are meant to be good for you – but that has all been reversed with the latest findings from beauty therapists. It seems beauty isn’t in the eye of the phone holder – with the news that iPhone and Blackberry users will turn wrinkly and craggy from overuse.

According to celebrity surgeon Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh, Smartphones are ageing for users.

“The phenomenon can be seen on anyone who has, and regularly checks, a Blackberry or iPhone.,” he said.

London based beauty therapist Nichola Joss told Maire Claire magazine its the nature of the small screen on the devices that is causing users to squint at their devices and subsequently causing the Smartphone squint.

“I’ve noticed a huge difference over the past 18 months in my clients’ faces from constantly peering down at a mini screen,” she said.

Joss recommends massaging in a circular motion to ward off unsightly lines and wrinkles.

Perhaps an app will be developed to encourage non frowning…just watch this space.
