LG Electronics is raising awareness of young women in crisis with a donation to the Mercy Ministries’ Glenhaven home, which houses and cares for 14 women between the ages of 16 and 28 years.
The Korean electronics company has donated a home theatre system and plasma TV, ensuring the Mercy Ministries women are entertained over the Christmas period.

LG corporate communications executive, Liz Dani, presented the gift to the home last week – the entertainment system will be used to provide the residents with their twice-daily education classes, weekly movie nights and in-house fitness classes.
“LG recognises the important work carried out by Mercy Ministries in transforming the lives of women who, until they reach the organisation, have literally given up hope,” said Dani.
“LG is proud to support such a worthwhile cause and we look forward to continuing involvement with Mercy Ministries in the future.”
Mercy Ministries is a national non-profit organisation that provides young women, who are suffering from the effects of eating disorders, self harm, abuse, depression, unplanned pregnancies and other life controlling issues, with a safe live in environment in which to heal.
