Tipping the scales at 1.2kg with an internal DVD Burner and battery, as well as a full suite of connectivity options, it is targeted squarely at the mobile professional.

Built using a magnesium alloy chassis engineered to be both light and strong and utilising a number of cutting edge industrial design techniques, the VERSA S9100 achieves an impact resistance rating of 300kgf (300kg per square foot of pressure) for the NEC embossed top cover.

This built in resilience ensures the safety of the LED backlit, and ‘Super Shine View’ coated, 12.1″ screen.  To keep your data safe and secure, the S9100 uses a Hard Disk ‘Free Fall Sensor’ to park the heads of the drive should it detect an impending hit as result of a drop or even excessive vibration.  A fingerprint reader and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) are included to round off the data protection suite.

Designed for the mobile professional, practicality was as high on the design agenda as well as achieving svelte good looks.  Of significance is the inclusion of an internal DVD-RW drive as well as practical connectivity including Bluetooth, Intel AGN Wireless, SD card reader, PCMCIA Slot and two USB 2.0 ports in addition to VGA and audio sockets and a mention the 6-hour battery.

Under the hood, there is an Intel Core 2 Duo ULV Processor whilst the 1GB of Intel Turbo Memory and SATA Hard Drive guarantee the performance of a much larger and more power hungry notebook.

Designed, tested and manufactured under stringent quality control standards in Japan, the S9100 utilises advanced technology and manufacturing techniques for assured quality and reliability.  The S9100 has undergone vigorous testing and assessment to ensure safety standards are met from the development stages right through the manufacturing process.
