Keen on sharpening the focus on its consumer brand awareness, NEC has launched a new outdoor advertising campaign posting billboards in high traffic areas of Sydney and Melbourne.

The company is also currently running an aggressive partner campaign aimed at boosting sales of its LCD and refrigeration lines.

The billboard advertising follows on from the company’s launch, earlier this year, of a new data projector range.

NEC’s new bilboard campaign singals a greater focuson delivering a unified message.

Carrying the caption Sharpen your Image with NEC Projectors, the ad cleverly depicts a projector enshrouded in a pencil sharpener case, conveying the message that NEC’s projectors produce sharp and clear images.

The company is intent on unifying its marketing efforts to offer a consistent look and feel to all its promotional and advertising material including brochures, POS and print ads.

The billboard ads, which will run through to the end of April are also backed up by a partner campaign dubbed “Guide to the Galaxy” and a consumer focused competition “Say HELLO to NEC”

The Galaxy promotion targets retailers and their staff with a points system for NEC product sold through the channel. Focused mainly on selected home entertainment products including the LCD TV’s and some of the refrigeration products the points can be redeemed for a variety of NEC products.
