It features a 2U form-factor for rack optimised environment and supports up to eight hard disks using universal SAS 3GB or SATA II connectivity.
Powered by Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 (WSS 2003 R2) or Microsoft Windows Unified Storage Server 2003 (WUSS 2003), and optimised for storage-specific management and applications, the device ensures ease of deployment, flexibility and seamless integration into customers’ network environments.
Users familiar with the Windows environment will find it simple to configure the Viking FS-800U NAS. WSS 2003 R2 comes with an unlimited number of Client Access Licenses. All file sharing protocols, such as CIFS/SMB, NFS, AppleTalk, DFS, HTTP&FTP and Storage Report Manager, are supported.
The Viking FS-800U NAS is available immediately in Australia and New Zealand. It is protected by a standard three-year warranty that includes a three year Advanced Replacement Service (for components only). Warranty extensions and on-site services are available as options.
