A new data projector is now available for businesses – the Mitsubishi Electric XD470U offers XGA resolution of 1024 x 768, and offers an instant shutdown feature allowing users to pack-up the unit quickly for meetings or dealines.The portable projector has a 2000:1 contrast ratio and features 3000 lumens of brightness, producing a bright and detailed image even when the lights are on, says the company.

When the unit is instantly shut-down, there is no need to wait for it to cool before unplugging it from the power.
“We know the demands of today’s working world. People don’t have the time to wait for a projector to cool down. They switch it off before it cools and this can lead to deterioration in projector performance. That is why we have made part of our focus, getting rid of shutdown time,” said Mitsubishi Electric Australia director, Thomas Seeto.
“We also want to ensure that the quality of image is as good as is seen in many home theatre projectors.”
The XD470U, retailing for $2,399, includes two PC inputs with monitor loop output, an RS-232c port for integrated control, and a security hook for securing the projector with a standard cable lock. It also features a password lockout p for authentication.
Other features include extended lamp life, filter free design, dust and dirt resistant, and the unit is compatible with third party control systems for integrated project control.
