It’s got a quad core processor, and is only $243.And you can now get the Google-made phone in Australia – at JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys and a number of independent dealers for under $250.  

Released in the US in November, Motorola’s Moto G smartphone has a 4.5″ HD TFT display, 8GB memory, 5mp camera, with a powerful quad-core processor. Only an 8GB version is available in Australia, a Motorola spokesperson said. 

The unlocked 3G phone has dual simcard support. The highly affordable Android made by Google, runs 4.3 Jelly Bean OS,  upgradable to the new 4.4 KitKat.  
It is not available in any of the other mass retailers, but is now being offered by many Aussie etailers like Mobicity and BecexTech for $234-$249. 

Google, now owners of mobile giant Motorola, want to make smartphones affordable to the masses. 

“The smartphone industry has relegated hundreds of millions of smartphone buyers to second-class status, preventing them from experiencing the mobile Internet at its best,” Motorola said in a blog. 
“Price-conscious consumers who don’t want to pay $600 or more for high-end smartphones have been left with two bad options.”
