Step Up! LG Throws Lifeband @ Oz
0Overall Score

Another smart band joins the wearables army.$199 Lifeband Touch to hit shores this month.

Announced locally today, LG’s smart activity tracker tells you how many calories you’re burning, distance, speed, and number of kms ran via 3-axis accelerometer and altimeter.
Rotate your wrist and this clever touchscreen OLED display auto turns on. Lifeband Touch alerts users to missed calls, texts (from Android phones only), and is compatible with Android (4.3 Jelly Bean+) and iPhone.

You can set your own fitness goals and track your progress via LG Fitness App, and the bendy band also links up with fitness apps like MyFitnessPal, Runkeeper or MapMyFitness.

The smart band will be available late May, for a cool $199.
However, LG’s answer to Fitbit is cheaper than Samsung’s Gear Fit or Gear 2 Neo smart bands which costs around $240.
LG Lifeband Touch will be available at Harvey Norman, JB HiFi, and Bing Lee.
