Samsung has cranked up their printer range with a new monochrome laser printer, the ML-1660. Described as having the smallest possible footprint it is designed for both home and office use.

The ML-1660 laser printer is compatible with Samsung’s AnyWeb Print software, this allows users to drag and drop specific content from web pages into a new blank page on their PC screen, which they can then save or print.

The AnyWeb Print software allows users to print the information they really need, rather than printing several whole web pages, saving time and resources.

The one-touch Print Screen button enables users to quickly and easily print exactly what they see on their PC screen, at the touch of a button. The Soft Power button is located on the front panel of the device, making it simple to turn on and off. This encourages users to turn the printer off when it is not being used, which can help to avoid unnecessary energy consumption, and save as much as 9.55 watts per hour compared with when the printer is left on.

The output tray is covered, which contributes to the laser printer’s streamlined design and helps to minimise noise levels within the office.

The ML-1660 laser printer can print at speeds of up to 16 high quality pages-per-minute (ppm) and has a first page out time of 8.5 seconds, making it ideal for personal users with regular printing needs, such as professionals and students. The black toner cartridges for this printer deliver a 1,500 page yield and provide the same high standard of quality and reliability to be expected from Samsung original printing supplies.

“Samsung understands that consumers don’t want to have to worry about working out how to use their new devices,” said Emmanuele Silanesu, National Product & Marketing Manager – IT, Samsung Electronics Australia. “With this new printer, we have incorporated a wide range of easy-to-use features in a stylish and ultra compact device to make printing simple and convenient.”

Samsung provides its range of laser printers and multifunction printers (MFPs) to its Australian customers through its valued network of channel partners. The ML-1660 laser printer is available across Australia now for RRP $139.
